I will participate in another E+ because…
Days. Just a few days. That is the amount of time that we need to get close to one another, to meet friends that we will feel to have known forever. Erasmus+ is not only an European program to encourage their citizens to get closer to each other and learn about different topics: it is a compound of feelings that you will not be able to get rid off in a while, it is a life learning experience that might change you forever, it is a set of memories that you will carry in your backpack.
Why do we like it so much? Why are these projects so life-changing?
First of all, and probably the most important: the people you meet. Any experience is rememorable when you are surrounded by extraordinary people who you can share it with. When you have this main ingredient, it does not really matter the location, the lack of sleeping or even the activities.
And this point might be linked with the next one: the intensity of the experiences. You live one or two weeks 24/7 with these new mates so in a little period of time you have already shared so many remarkable moments which will make you feel in an extreme roller-coaster.
Everything is about going out of your comfort zone: the worthiest risk you can take. The dynamics and activities foster participants to develop both social and personal skills as empathy, cooperation, leadership, respect, critical thinking, communication, charisma and creativity, among others.
Moreover, during the workshops, activities and the free time, you will discuss so many diverse topics with participants who may have such different cultures and points of view than you, which will always be nurturing in the path of learning and improvement.
And last but not least, the financial support to join. As young people, some of us might not be economically sound and the fact that the European Union handles the expenses, makes these projects more accessible for us.
So in the end, we can all agree that we are truly bound to participate in another Eramus+ (and it will happen sooner than later).
